The plant helps flush toxins and excess salts out from the kidneys. Dandelion leaves contain beta carotenes that are good for the eyes, skin and hair. Dandelion roots and leaves contain Vitamins A,B,C,D,E and K, as well as potassium, calcium, iron, thiamin choline, lecithin and riboflavins.Give one teaspoon of fresh or dried herb for each 20 lbs. of body weight.
  • Echinacea: This herb helps boost the immune system by promoting white blood cell growth. This helps build resistance to skin disorders. It is used for eczema, acne and ringworm. Echinacea cleanses the blood, liver, lymph glands and the kidneys. 

  • Licorice Root: Licorice Root has been shown to be a fast-acting anti-inflammatory agent. It can be used to replace a corticosteroid like prednisone. The benefit of doing this is that you avoid the dangerous side effects of a synthetic drug. The beneficial part of Licorice Root is in a part of the plant called glycyrrhuzin. It is similar to the cortisone released naturlly in the body. It helps relieve pain, itching and inflammation without damaging the immune system. It can also be used as a topical salve, for treating psoriasis, eczema and flea bite allergies. Licorice Root in liquid form can be added to your dog's food to give benefits internally. A tincture will go to work a lot faster in a dog. This is important because of their short digestive tracks.
